"Isaac Haradon born 15 Mar 1755, son of John Haradon and Charity Hoar his first wife, married Jemina Gay of Dedham

Isaac married twice, first to our ancestor Jemina Gay 1779, and then to Anna Stone March 1796, after Jemina's death
Isaac and Anna moved to New York from Norton around 1798, Isaac died in Painted Post, NY in 1824.

11. John Schuyler Haradon Marries Caroline Hannah Merrill - 31 May 1840

28 Mar 2014 - Research results do not point to the possibility of a Gloucester connection to our family Edward Harraden was born about 1627 in England and arrived in Ipswich by 1650, then moved to Gloucester in Apr 1657 where he lived until he died on 17 May 1678. He and Sarah _____ had 12 children during the period 1649 and 1671. Their 3rd son John (1663-1724) was born, lived and died in Gloucester. John married Sarah Giddings in Gloucester in 1693-4.

Ref: Dawes-Gates ancestral lines : a memorial volume containing the American acestry of Rufus R. Dawes, see Volume 1, pages 347-349. It is noted therein that "this name has been furnished with more variants than perhaps any other of early colonial time as will be seen by a listing of sixteen spellings under the virtual records" - Virtual Records of Ipswich, Vol 2, pgs 213, 255 and Virtual Records of Gloucester, Vol 1, pg 319.

Remember that our John Haradon married Mildred Page around 1699 and was probably born between 1649 and 1669, the same period that the William Harraden family was living in Gloucester. Mildred Page was born in 1668/69 in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts. John was born in either England or possibly in Boston or Watertown, however no record exists at NEHGS to substantiate this.
